PURE CHEMISTRY

What makes a good cleanser for rosacea-prone skin?

Rosacea-prone skin reacts easily, so the right cleanser is gentle, pH-balanced and free from common irritants such as added fragrance and harsh foaming agents. Cleansing Complex fits that brief: a soft, clear gel with calming chamomile, green tea and Centella Asiatica that removes make-up and impurities without stripping or aggravating sensitive skin. If you have been diagnosed with rosacea, it is always worth checking new products with your GP or dermatologist.

HOW IT WORKS

Cleansing without the flare of tightness

Hot water and stripping cleansers can leave reactive skin tight and flushed. This one is different. A barrier-friendly pH and soothing antioxidants mean skin feels calm and comfortable after washing, while gentle resurfacing keeps pores clear. Use lukewarm water and a light touch for the kindest cleanse.

Cleanser for Rosacea FAQs

What makes this a good cleanser for rosacea-prone skin?

It is gentle, pH-balanced and free from artificial fragrance, with soothing chamomile, green tea and Centella Asiatica that help reduce the look of redness. It cleanses without the tightness that can trigger reactive skin.

Is it fragrance-free?

It is formulated without artificial fragrance, which is one of the most common triggers for rosacea-prone skin. Any faint scent comes from the botanicals, not added perfume.

Are the acids too strong for easily-flushed skin?

The glycolic and salicylic acids here are at gentle, balanced levels and buffered with calming antioxidants, so they decongest and smooth without the sting of a high-strength acid wash. Patch test first and introduce slowly.

Can it help with the redness I see?

The soothing botanicals can help reduce the appearance of redness over time, and a non-stripping cleanse means skin is less likely to feel tight and flushed. It is a cosmetic cleanser, not a medical treatment for rosacea.

How often should I use it?

Morning and night, with lukewarm water and a light touch. Avoid hot water and vigorous rubbing, which can aggravate reactive skin.

Is it suitable for sensitive, combination or dry skin too?

Yes. It is designed to be gentle across skin types, including sensitive, dry and combination skin that flushes easily.

Do I need a separate toner?

No. It is pH-balanced at 5.6, so it cleanses and tones in one step, leaving skin calm rather than tight.

Should I get professional advice about rosacea?

Yes. Rosacea is a medical condition, so if you have it or suspect it, speak to your GP or dermatologist. A gentle cleanser like this can sit alongside the advice they give you.
