Mixed Fruit Acid Extracts

Mixed fruit acid extracts are naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) drawn from fruit and sugar sources. Within a formula they loosen the dull cells that build up on the skin's surface, helping it look smoother and brighter and softening the appearance of fine lines. Clearing that surface layer also helps the ingredients that follow absorb more readily.

iS Clinical uses these extracts in two ways. Active Peel System is the most concentrated expression, an at-home exfoliating step to use after cleansing. Elsewhere they play a supporting role: GeneXC Serum, Youth Complex and NeckPerfect Complex bring gentle resurfacing into the Treat step, and Youth Intensive Creme pairs it with rich moisture at the Hydrate step.
