Acne Prone Skin
Skin prone to breakouts needs a routine that keeps pores clean and oil in balance while respecting the skin barrier, because harsh, stripping routines tend to leave congested, oily-looking skin feeling uncomfortable. This edit sets out the iS Clinical formulations that suit that balance, morning and evening.
In the morning, cleanse with Cleansing Complex, a gel cleanser with salicylic acid that cleanses pores yet stays gentle; Warming Honey Cleanser is a softer alternative on days skin feels dry. Pro-Heal Serum Advance+ adds vitamin C and antioxidant support for skin that looks stressed or red, followed by Hydra-Cool Serum for lightweight hydration and Extreme Protect SPF 40 as the final step. In the evening, Active Serum suits blemish-prone skin and works on the look of uneven tone and texture, and Retinol+ Emulsion 0.3 can be introduced gradually on alternate nights. The Active Peel System, used every other week, resurfaces and polishes for a smoother, more refined-looking surface.
Introduce one new product at a time, and if breakouts are persistent, painful or leaving marks, see your GP or an iS Clinical practitioner. Our guide to breakout-prone and congested skin and the full regime for breakout-prone skin explain each step in more detail.
